Reaching goals: how bad do you want it

Being successful is all about overperforming. While others might settle for being trustworthy, fast, committed and doing their job, I aim at being the most trustworthy, fastest, most committed and best in what I do. Because that’s the only way to reach your goals.

Reaching goals

Deciding on anything is easy, making the plans tangible and executable, and then executing them, that is something else. Personally, after I set my goals, I dedicate myself to reachting the goal and I expect the same attitude from every member on my team. Because the thing with reaching goals is, that nobody else will do it for you. People can help, but they can’t reach your goals. You decide whether you make it.

I like this video of Eric Thomas, called ‘Success, how bad do you want it’. It’s all about determination: Succes, how bad do you want it?

Also, don’t forget to check out Al Pacino’s motivational speech during half time in Any Given Sunday. He starts out with the words: ‘I don’t know what to say’, and then continues with facing the situation and handing out the options. Gradually he starts motivating the team, thus putting the responsibility, and the belief, back in the team. Al Pacino’s inspirational speech.
